The VRPE project

In July 2017, the Faculty of Engineering of the Agostinho Neto University (FEUAN) initiated a new master's degree: The Master in Industrial Systems Engineering (MESI). This master's degree was developed as part of a FSP- Priority Support Fund project, launched in February 2016, its design and accreditation allowed 36 students to benefit from this new programme, whose conclusion of the 1st edition was in October 2019, of which 29 students completed the course with positive results.

Management of Organizations

This training allows to acquire concepts, methods and tools from the Management of Organizations for the Development of a culture of collective quality. Have the ability to understand and situate the development of an organization through the dynamics of strategic planning, mastering the tools for collective problem solving by analyzing processing and compiling plans for continuous performance improvement.

Quality Management

Concepts, methods and tools of Quality Management for
the development of a collective quality culture. Ability to understand and situate the development of an organization through the dynamics of strategic planning, mastering the tools for collective problem solving, analyzing processing and compiling plans for continuous performance improvement.

Project Management

To train students with sufficient knowledge and skills to participate in projects as actors or managers responsible for applying a rigorous methodology to achieve an efficient technical objective, on time and within cost.

Mathematics and Statistics for Engineers

This training aims to provide students with mathematical modelling tools for solving engineering problems.

Statistical Quality Control

This training aims to provide students with methods and tools for the statistical control of the production process in a context of quality and cost. Understand and analyse the different statistical indicators of the production system.

Industrial reliability

This training aims to provide students with industrial reliability tools such as industrial safety, industrial maintenance and industrial rehabilitation for solving industrial reliability problems.

Risk Management

This training aims to provide the basic concepts on risk analysis methods and tools to ensure, develop and secure confidence in any organization or project. International standards of quality, environment, health and safety management and sustained success are analysed in depth. Adaptation of the organisation to reflect the perceived risk of different stakeholders, the implementation of feedback and its connection to the information system. At the end of the training students are able to use international risk management standards.

Experience Planning

This training aims to train students in industrial modeling methods and tools to improve the performance optimization of the production system in a context of quality in time and cost. Understand the culture of lean production through concrete industrial examples.

Computer Aided Production and Maintenance

The student will acquire basic tools and methods to enable him to become operational on the following issues related to the management of a production unit: Analysis and configuration of technical production data ;Implementation of management rules and inventory evaluation;Manufacturing Planning and purchasing ;Organization of the flow based on modeling and simulation of discrete events;Relocation or organization of new production lines.

Modeling and Performance of Production Systems

Automation and Robotics

This course provides students with the necessary basis for designing and using a robotics system where its different aspects are addressed, knowing also how to choose your treatment system.

Standardisation and Technical Regulations

Concepts and methods of standardization of national and international organizations. Use and development in the elaboration of technical regulations in international trade. The certification and accreditation process is studied with generic standards associated to their respective sectors.
