Master's Degree in Innovation and Engineering of Cyber-Physical Systems

Following the creation of MESI, positioned at the very end of the value chain (industrial process control, maintenance, continuous or disruptive improvement, etc.), we were able to identify a need for innovation, entrepreneurship, and intrapreneurship, taking into account the digitalization of economic activities (and society) within the framework of economic and social development in Angola (startups, incubators). It is to address this need, this requirement, that the project to create a master’s degree in Innovation and Cyber-Physical Systems Engineering, the MInESC, was launched

Learning by doing

Training organized in alternating periods between the university and the company

The new master’s program offered by MInESC will therefore operate under a work-study model that is new to Angola, and will focus on innovation and entrepreneurship, specifically on the engineering of digital production systems (Industry 4.0).

FAQ

What is the difference between an internship and a work-study program at a company?

These are two options to consider when training with the company.

The internship takes place at a company or in a laboratory following university coursework. It is the subject of a report or thesis and concludes with a presentation and/or defense.

Work-study programs are characterized by a pedagogically structured curriculum that includes periods dedicated to acquiring knowledge, know-how, and interpersonal skills, both at the university and in the workplace. From this perspective, the workplace is no longer merely a setting for applying what is learned, but also a place where skills (knowledge, abilities, and practices) are acquired.
