Support for Angolan higher education

The Higher Education Support Program is funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France over a total period of five years (2019–2024 – 13 million euros).

The program supports the higher education sector in generating knowledge and fostering innovation by creating new graduate programs and teaching relevant skills to train more specialized professionals.

The overall objective of the program is to promote economic diversification and create jobs in priority sectors.

The specific objectives of the program are as follows: (1) To strengthen the alignment between governance and policy instruments in the field of higher education with a view to specializing postgraduate research in priority sectors; (2) To increase the specialization and recognition of postgraduate institutions; (3) To increase equity in access to postgraduate education and career advancement for vulnerable groups.
