Support for Angolan higher education

The Higher Education Support Programme is funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France for a total duration of 5 years (2019-2024 - 13M Euros).

The programme supports the higher education subsystem in the production of knowledge and innovation with the creation of new postgraduate courses and teaching of relevant skills to train more specialised staff.

The general objective of the programme is to increase economic diversification and create jobs in priority sectors.

The specific objectives of the programme are the following: (1) To strengthen the alignment between governance and policy instruments in the field of higher education towards postgraduate research specialisation in priority sectors; (2) To increase the specialisation and recognition of postgraduate institutions; (3) To increase equality in access to postgraduate degrees and career development for vulnerable groups.
